ULC 2010 Innovations Initiative

Description & Process

ULC Members Innovations Program serves the following purposes:

•   Captures and promotes innovations.

•   Shares leading practices and lessons learned across ULC membership.

•   Creates national and international recognition for ULC library innovators.

Process:

1)   Once a year ULC asks members to share their innovations in a one-page format noting specified categories.

2)   All submittals are posted to the ULC website. This allows members to easily search for forward thinking solutions and leading practices successfully developed and implemented by peer libraries.

3)   ULC develops a transparent system for evaluating the innovations, and provides annual awards for the best innovation in each category.  The awards are   presented at a ULC member event and are showcased within ULC member communications, as well as with relevant non-library organizations and vital partners.

4)   ULC showcases these innovations in its webinar series, in the e-newsletter and at ULC conferences and meetings.

Thank you to ALL OUR MEMBERS for sharing over 200 of your innovations.

Join us as we honor the Top Innovators at ULC's Annual Member Meeting in D.C. Saturday, June 26, 8:30-10 am.

This June watch for the debut of  ULC's Knowledge Resource Center, and review the innovations from leading libraries across North America.
