Challenge/Opportunity

Harris County is the third most populous county in the USA. It covers 1777 square miles and comprises 34 cities including Houston. HCPL has 27 branches throughout the diverse jurisdiction and 7 mobile units. There are 2.5 million library visits annually and over 14.5 million items in circulation. Being one of the largest counties provides challenges in data collection and visualization because of the following:
